The faculty of The School of Strings supports school orchestra programs. It is that support that makes membership in the participating students school orchestra a prerequisite for classes at The School of Strings. There are exceptions to this policy.
Here’s a look at those exceptions:
1. A student may participate when there is no orchestra program in his or her school.
2. A student may participate when he or she is too young to participate in his or her school program.
3. Homeschooled children with no orchestra program are welcome.
4. Students in any grade who are eligible for a school orchestra program but have tried unsuccessfully to schedule orchestra into their class load may enroll for classes at The School of Strings if they meet the certain requirements.
